Assisted Dying in Jewish Texts

Rabbi Jonathan introduces the few relevant texts and shows it is by no means as clear cut a matter as you may have thought. Kiddush Hashem (‘sanctification of God’s name’ – dying to preserve God’s values) is not only lauded but mandated in certain situations, and the death penalty is liberally mandated.
