Lights: Chanukah + Shabbat

Experience the lights, this Chanukah and Shabbat.

Enjoy a musical Shabbat songs, with Rabbi Jonathan Keren Black, and our jazz band, The Accidentals. Including lighting the Chanukiah (BYO Chanukiah if you like).

We’ll also be serving up a yummy Shabbat feast with latkes and sufganiot (jam doughnuts).

Book now for the dinner. This means we can have the right amount of food for everyone.

Note: At LBC, no one is turned away due to financial circumstances, just contact us and we’ll make arrangements.

Studley Park Boathouse Walking Tour

Join us for a two-hour walking tour which will take in the history of the bridge and the Boathouse at Studley Park. Learn about the Founder of the Boathouse, William Burn and his family, and the struggles they endured trying to run their business, founded in 1863, on the Yarra River. We will see photos of the different bridges which were erected, and we will learn about the old pumping stations that existed, as well as the geology of the area. We will learn about the history of Yarra Bend as we walk to the Dight Falls area. The walk will be conducted by a local historian, Tony Michael. Wear comfortable shoes and shades and hats are recommended.
