We are excited to invite you to take part in a program called Beit HaAm בית העם, literally the People's Home.
The program connects Israeli and Diaspora communities in conversations about Israeli society. 7 monthly sessions will each focus on a subject with a short documentary film starter.
Rabbi Ayala Ronen-Samuels is the Progressive Regional Rabbi of Hof Hakarmel in Israel and Rabbi of Tefilat Ha’Adam Congregation in Caesarea, who will take part from the Israeli side and connect with a group from Leo Baeck Centre. Sessions will be held on Tuesdays at 7.30 PM for about one hour. Rabbi Jonathan Keren-Black from LBC and Rabbi Ayal Ronen-Samuels will moderate the conversations.
Here are all seven of the dates:
1/2/2022
1/33

10/5

This program is run as part of LBC The Israel Awareness Group.
The group aims to:
· be a bridge between LBC and Israel, helping to understand Israel's achievements, opportunities and challenges
· cultivate connections to Israel from within the LBC community
This will be undertaken through such activities as:
· collating and disseminating information to LBC members on activities related to Israel
· hosting a safe and respectful place for LBC members to learn and discuss topics related to Israel
The group intends to interact with different bodies in Israel and outside of Israel as speakers and sources of information to raise the awareness and knowledge about Israel within the LBC community. The group hopes that through its activities LBC members can cultivate deeper feelings of care and interest in Israel.
Do let us know if you are interested in joining the Beit Haam Program or to take part in the Israel Awareness group yourself, or if there is someone you think may be interested in joining the program.
