If singing with others is your idea of fun, you might like to come along to B’yachad (Hebrew for ‘together’). We meet fortnightly on a Thursday evening and learn songs in Hebrew, Yiddish, Ladino and Russian. You don’t need language or singing skills to join in, just a love of Jewish music. We are led by a piano accordionist and mostly just sing for our own enjoyment. We do however occasionally sing at Jewish old age homes (Russian songs got added into our repertoire as a result of requests from residents), at Boroondara singing events and at the odd fund-raiser.
